The Indian delegation met with members of the Japanese Diet and found the need to enhance their exchange of students and visitors while noting the commonality in culture and social values. (24/6/2025)

Mr. ETO Seishiro, former Vice Speaker of the House of Representative welcomed Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Professor Raj Kumar, Member of Indian Parliament (Rajya Sabba) Dr. Abhishek Singhvi and Indian Ambassador Sibi George to a meeting with members of the National Diet of Japan. They recognized the commonality of rich culture, identity and social values held by respective communities. They found the need to increase the number of Indian students studying in Japan by tenfold to more than 10,000. They also found the need to inform Japanese students about India. One senior political leader suggested that the Indian delegation consider the possibility to invest in Japan as the Japanese companies are investing in the United States.
