Full Statement (English Translation)
“Thank you very much for today’s important discussion.
Japan, in my view, cannot survive on its own. Our food self-sufficiency rate is 38 percent, and our energy self-sufficiency is only 12–13 percent. Therefore, a peaceful and stable world is, in fact, Japan’s greatest national interest.
From this perspective, I intend to continue, as a Japanese politician, contributing to the realization of international stability and peace. Thank you.”
